A couple of seasons ago, Toyota sharpened the Camry’s claws in one of the brand’s more dramatic adjustments. A significantly different front end improved looks, and a new dashboard and more stylish seat covers were also installed.

The Camry’s two gasoline engines and a gas-electric power team remain competitive against the rest of the field. The Hybrid scores impressive marks in fuel economy but only if you keep a light touch on the gas pedal. Both gasoline engines are mated to six-speed automatic transmissions, and the Hybrid employs a continuously variable unit (CVT).

The base Camry LE arrives with most of the expected content, but stepping up to the XSE and XLE will really make a difference with added sport and luxury content including a power moonroof, acoustic noise-reducing windshield, push-button start and a premium audio package that’s combined with a navigation system.
