Tacoma's new available 3.5L DOHC V6 generates a potent 278 horses, while grinding out 265 lbs.-ft. of trail-tackling torque—and mated to either a smooth 6-speed automatic or quick throw 6-speed manual transmission. Matching power with efficiency, the V6 also utilizes Atkinson cycle technology. A segment first, the Atkinson cycle features a longer power stroke resulting in more efficient combustion and fewer emissions in your wake.
Tacoma's 4x2 and select 4x4 Access Cab models come equipped with a 2.7L, 16-valve DOHC 4-cylinder engine, generating 159 horsepower while producing 180 lbs.-ft. of torque. Paired with a new 6-speed automatic transmission and armed with a new electronic transfer case, Tacoma is as confident on the road as it is capable on the trail.
Class-leading off-road capabilities like available Multi-terrain Select allows you to tailor traction control depending on the surface. Another available feature, Crawl Control, manages power and braking by using Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) and wheel sensors, allowing you to focus on steering on even the most extreme roads.
