The Toyota Tacoma crushes the Nissan Frontier!Mar 11th, 2016
So you’ve decided you need a new ride, and you’ve decided you want a new mid-sized pickup truck – but how do you decide which one? There are a lot of popular trucks out there on the market, but you can only choose one. The best way to narrow down your options and ultimately find your next ride is to start comparing. Compare the trucks by performance, safety, convenience and, of course, price. If you don’t have time to comparison shop, no worries! Our new Toyota dealership in Orlando has you covered. We’ve compared two popular truck models so you can pick which is the better ride for you!
The Toyota Tacoma goes toe-to-toe with the Nissan Frontier!
The car shopping experts at Toyota of Orlando have researched these two trucks thoroughly, and this is what they found:
The 2016 Toyota Tacoma in Orlando has a bigger and more powerful engine than the Nissan Frontier. Our new Toyota truck has a 2.7 liter four-cylinder engine that makes 159 horsepower, while the Nissan Frontier has a 2.5 liter four-cylinder engine that makes just 152 horsepower. In addition, our new Toyota truck can haul more than the Nissan Frontier. This Nissan truck has a payload capacity of only 913 pounds, but the Toyota Tacoma has a payload capacity of 1,620 pounds. Both trucks can tow up to 3,500 pounds. Our new Toyota truck even pulls ahead in fuel efficiency. The Nissan Frontier gets an EPA-estimated 17 mpg in the city but the Toyota Tacoma gets 19 mpg in the city.
With a new Toyota comes a peace of mind. While both vehicles share safety features like anti-theft protection, traction control, and a low tire pressure indicator, it is only the new Toyota truck that has automatic headlights, brake assist system, and front knee airbags! Feel safer, and keep your family safer, while riding in an Orlando Toyota Tacoma.
What kind of convenience can you expect in a new truck? Both the Toyota truck and Nissan truck share technology like:
- CD player
- Auxiliary input jack
- MP3 player
- Steering wheel-mounted controls
- Bluetooth wireless connectivity
- Vehicle speed proportional power steering
However, it is solely the new Toyota Tacoma in Orlando that has convenience features like telescopic adjustment steering wheel, voice activated controls, six speakers, outside temperature gauge, and backup camera! Our new Toyota truck is leaving the Nissan in its dust when it comes to technology.

There’s just one comparison we haven’t made yet, and that’s the price. When using comparably equipped prices the Orlando Toyota Tacoma has a price of $24,200 and the Nissan Frontier has a price of $23,920! While the Nissan may be slightly less expensive, keep in mind that with the Toyota truck you’re also paying for style and reliability!
